What a Wonderful Prom!

As we celebrate our Years 6’s final event at Worsbrough Common Primary School… Going to miss you all SO much Year 6! Good luck on your next adventure… you’ll be amazing!

Last day!

Just a reminder for parents and carers: our Year 6 Leavers’ Assembly is tomorrow morning at 10 o’clock in the Sports Hall (no tickets needed but bring your tissues), and the Prom is after school from 5-7 pm. We’re providing food and drinks. Thank you! We’ll make sure your children have a fantastic last day at WCPS…

The Long Haul!

Year 6 have had a fantastic afternoon! We chose to go to the cinema to watch “Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul”, and managed to fundraise enough money nor only for chips before the film but for lots of popcorn and ice-cream at the cinema! You were fab, Year 6; I enjoyed every minute! If you liked the film, put the book on your summer reading list…

Car challenge!

Year 6 went head-to-head again with Year 5 for our second Science week challenge! We had to build a self-propelling car that would travel the furthest distance possible. It was more difficult than we thought, but Year 6 showed some excellent collaboration, resourcefulness and perseverance!

Meeting Fabric Lenny!

Year 6 have had a fantastic afternoon working at Experience Barnsley with local artist Paul, also known as Fabric Lenny. We created some amazing continuous line drawings that will become part of an exhibition soon. Famous artists in Year 6!

Bridge challenge!

On Friday Year 5 and 6 went head to head in the Science Week bridge challenge! We tested the strongest bridge from each class to see which would be the ultimate winner… it was close! Year 5’s bridge held more weight, but it gave us lots to think about!

Science week!

Year 6 have made a great start to Science week; we spent the afternoon designing and building our bridges. I saw some fantastic perseverance and collaboration; I wonder whose bridge we will choose for the head-to-head challenge with Year 5?
